Celebrate the Month of the Young Child by going to see YOSI (of Yosi and the Super-Dads) Friday, April 16 either 6:15-7pm or 7:15-8pm at the Burlington County Human Services Building in Westhampton. Information & Sign-up here. March Forth on March 4th — As we have in years past, we and other national coalition partners are urging everyone to call Congress on March 4th, 2010 as we “March Forth” for Child care and Headstart / Early Headstart funding. This year’s action theme is “Families Earning / Children Learning” which reminds Congress of the importance of these programs for our economic recovery and the need to provide no less than the President’s budget request for those programs. Get ready now for this important Call-In Day. Congress is at the beginning of its budget process. President Obama has proposed increases in these key programs for Children’s services. We need to make sure that Congress realizes that their constituents strongly believe that these increased investments are necessary. Thanks to one of the national partners in this effort AFSCME, all participants will have access to the following toll-free number to contact Congress on March 4th: 1-888-460-0813 Encourage your staff and parents to MARCH FORTH on behalf of children and families! To get involved in this committee please contact Kathryn Nicholls, Chapter Advocacy Chair.
