Protect Preschool for NJ’s Youngest, Most Needy Students!
New Jersey has model preschools that are the first step toward a quality education for thousands of New Jersey’s poorest children.

Now, some New Jersey legislators want to cut preschools for these children. Gov. Christie last year provided additional funding for preschool and the state Legislature approved those dollars.

Please join us in sending the message that we must continue this vital investment for our youngest, most needy students. Please send a message today.

Many representatives now use web-based communication. You can copy the message below and paste into your representatives’ web mail.

High-quality preschool has been proven to help children succeed in school and graduate from high school. Children who attend good preschools are also less likely to repeat a grade or need expensive special education services. It also saves taxpayer dollars by getting children on an early path to school success.

Please continue to support this critical investment for New Jersey children and resist any effort to cut New Jersey’s nationally-acclaimed preschools. Low-income children should be a top priority and should be given the assistance they need to succeed in school. As your constituent, I am urging you to fight to preserve — and even expand — support for preschool for poor children.

Sincerely,
